I think the title of this section "We Fearless Ones," could not have been put any better. From the start of this reading Nietzsche begins to make many valid points of the church and how God is viewed in many different ways. I think the reason why Nietzsche sounds so bitter in his arguments at times is because he is frustarted with people who except what he calls nonsense. In his first point of Book V he explains how instead of viewing your doubt and questioning of faith to be bad, view it as finding a sense of freedom and peace within yourself. I think this point is true because when you let go of something that has been holding back your own independent thought in some ways, you become more open-minded than before when you release those retraints. The open-mindedness then allows you to no longer see narrow mindedly, but to see everyones perspective on life in a different way than your own.
I do also understand that people are brought up in different ways and can also live happily with their belief systems. In fact I agree that religion as a whole can sometimes be a good way to shape your morals, but when heaven and hell are brought up thats where it stops for me. In some ways i can see why Nietzsche says that one can be considered weak when they believe because he sees it as them not being able to confront their fears of death, so they need something to hold on to. But there has to be something better to hold on to than religion right? I mean can't it just be considered an assumption from the beginning?
