span
There is so much to take from this text that you literally could ponder for hours on end. One specific thing that stuck out to me however was Darwin’s explanation of the effects of habit. Was he saying that specific habits can become part of ones genetic code and that this particular sequence can be passed on through the generations? If this is the case, maybe Socrates was right in saying that all knowledge is recollection. Furthermore, it is interesting to consider the fact that if habits are/can become genetically coded, every single thing we do on a regular basis can and will change us completely. That seems like a no brainer, of course every action will take us on a different course, but it insane to understand how everything is in flux. It makes me even less sure then I already am as I am not the same as I am, was, or will be. But maybe I am, maybe the words in my mind are just messing with me.
