Darwin
One of the more interesting aspects of what Darwin writes about is how he admits that he doesn't really know how all of these different types of species came to pass or evolve as a whole. But one thing he does notice is the evidence that shows the progression of the evolution of the species. This allows him to figure to maybe figure out where they all originated from which helps him come to a conclusion of why they exist at all. He discovers all different types of variations in the same kind of species which allows him to dismiss other ways of thinking about how each species came to pass. Another important aspect of how a large number of species that may have started the existence of living organisms, can so quickly become narrowed and sometimes fully extinct. This is just an example of natural selection by the environment that each species has to endure, almost like survival of the fittest. An example of Darwin explaining this in the reading is when he says," the innumerable beings on the face of this earth are enabled to struggle with each other, and the best adapted to survive." May the best species win.
